Delivery services to the desktop
Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) solutions are recommended for schools or businesses with multiple sites and they can be suited for other business or educational needs too.
How an MPLS works
In simple terms, data is packaged and forwarded at a switching level, rather than a routing level. Data flows via a high-speed connection which is managed centrally, so it is fast, secure and prioritised. Adding more sites is far simpler as the new connection is routed into the existing MPLS core.
An MPLS can deliver services ranging from 10Mpbs to 10Gbps and has the ability to handle packets carrying real-time traffic (video or voice). It can bring all sites together and combine them into one network – this makes it easier to manage locations as a cluster.
At du Pré, we offer a fully managed MPLS Solution, from design, installation and management, delivering secure high-speed, centrally managed inter-site connectivity.
