| Telephone Numbers | The following telephone numbering sequence is adopted in the UK. 00 is for International access. 0500 is for Freephone numbers. 06 is not used. 070 is for Personal Numbers. 0800 and 0808 are for Freephone numbers. 09 is for Non Geographic Numbers, Premium Rate numbers. 1 is for access to Operator services. 2 - 8 is for local area numbers. 999 is for Emergency Calls. |
