CPU cache is a cache which reduces the average time for memory access. CPU cache is both smaller and faster, storing copies of data from the most frequently used main memory locations.

When the CPU needs to read from or write to the main memory it first checks whether a copy of required data is in its cache. If so, the CPU immediately reads from or writes to this cache which is faster than reading from or writing to main memory.

The incoming call collides with the outgoing message notification.
