du Pré plc’s Service Delivery Manager, Maxine Chadderton, will attempt to tackle the three highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales this summer in support of the Breast Cancer Campaign to help the charity with its funding.
The Three Peaks Challenge will take place in July and will see Maxine tackling the intense slopes of Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Mount Snowdon in just 24 hours, totalling a climb of over 3,000 metres and hiking at times in the dark.
Tackling the Three Peaks Challenge
Maxine wanted a new physical challenge and raise money for the charity after her mother passed away in 2007 having been diagnosed with breast cancer in 2001.
Maxine said, ‘I know the Three Peaks Challenge will be tough, but it’s nothing compared to what my mum went through and what many other women fighting breast cancer are going through right now.’
About Maxine and the Support Team
Maxine joined du Pré plc in 1996 and has always been in a customer service role. In the early days, Maxine controlled service to customers who had straightforward telephone systems supplied by du Pré.
As the company incorporated the supply of IT systems Maxine encompassed the supporting of these within her role in the Support Team too, and today, as Service Delivery Manager, she ensures high levels of service are maintained for all customers, many of whom have moved onto some of the sophisticated Cisco and Avaya IP Telephony solutions and Microsoft IP networks.
