Avaya has raised its accreditation level for companies providing IP telephony solutions to schools and businesses. Following a period of assessment, du Pré is pleased to have risen to the new levels required.

The new accreditation process ensures that only the most experienced telecoms companies are authorised to provide Avaya's IP Office range of services.

Called 'Avaya Connect', the programme was introduced this summer and radically changes the requirements for service provision.

Jon Dawkins, Telephony Technical Manager, explained more about how this works.

'One of the unique features of the Avaya Connect programme is that it upskills both the operations and the sales departments at du Pré. This means customers receive a more comprehensive level of service which is consistent between all staff at du Pré.'

Avaya Connect sees the sales department qualifying with the Avaya Professional Sales Specialist (APSS) award and the operations department gaining the Product Authorisation Track. This is awarded only to companies with their own team of engineers that carry out installations.

Berny Meunier, IT Manager at St Michael's Hospice, explained why this programme was good news for customers. 'We have relied on du Pré for a number of years so it's good to see they're constantly working to ensure a high level of customer service.'
