New Cisco handsets for business grade VoIP telephone system
Newbury, Berkshire based business telephone system provider du Pré plc has announced two new Cisco IP Phones on its business grade hosted VoIP telephone system, du Pré Connect.
The Cisco 7941 and 7961 IP Phones have been replaced by the Cisco 7942 and 7962 IP Phone models. The new models incorporate higher resolution screens, improved audio capabilities and an integrated Ethernet connection switch.
Jon Dawkins, Telephony Technical Manager at du Pré commented, “Although in appearance the phones look the same as their predecessors, Cisco has improved the audio capabilities and improved phone performance. The 7941 IP Phone and 7961 IP Phones were already popular high quality handsets but the new Cisco 7942 and 7962 models have raised the standard even more.”
Full specifications include:
- High fidelity audio – to improve audio quality
- High resolution display
- Access to two (7942) or six (7962) telephone lines, or programmed telephony shortcuts
- Support of high performance network applications (7962 model only)
- Availability of Integrated Ethernet switch and 10/100BASE-T Ethernet connection through a standard RJ45 connection to your LAN network
- Supports IEEE 803.af PoE (Class 2) or local power supply
