PDSA chooses du Pré for their Communications PDSA is Britain's leading veterinary charity.
Founded in 1917, PDSA provides over 1 million free consultations to sick and injured animals every year, making a major difference not only to individual clients and their pets but also to national animal welfare.
PDSA's Communication Issues
PDSA had many different Network and Hardware providers each with their own tariffs.
This included Inbound and Outbound call spends as well as a wide and varied selection of Telephone systems ranging across 43 Pet Aid Hospitals, 4 Pet Aid Branches and 180 Shops.
Analysis showed this to be an expensive and administrative nightmare.
The Solution
Outbound call spend
This was placed on a BT Business Plan, where du Pré provides regular reviews to ensure PDSA is always on the best and most suitable package available.
Inbound call spend
du Pré negotiated a new BT Inbound Calls contract which made significant savings to PDSA’s existing BT numbers, so much so that PDSA has undergone several inbound number ports from other License Operators.
All those bills!
du Pré set up and continually manage PDSA’s BT One Bill, ensuring that all new services or network orders are linked and monitored quarterly.
Telephone Systems
PDSA’s legacy telephone systems were analogue Nortel, Panasonic and Goldstar, all of which du Pré was able to cover through their Support Centre, thereby simplifying PDSA's administration with one single maintenance contract.
At the same time, the first of many integrated IP telephone systems has been installed at their Birmingham Centre.

du Pré and PDSA are currently working to implement one single Intelligent Non Geographical number for all inbound calls to their veterinary centres and shops.
