du Pré and Samsung provided BBC Vecta with a telephony solution designed to support remote working and simple informal call centre capabilities with an emphasis on ease of use.The essential requirements were for full VoIP capability for cost reduction and to support home working, large alphanumeric displays to allow operator-less operation as a key system and easy-to-understand statistics to allow a measure of the customer service level being achieved.
In order to minimise downtime risk it was essential that all functionality was available with minimal disruption.
BBC Vecta now has a fully functional, expandable and cost effective communications platform. The system is currently providing standard telephony features but is easily capable of enabling VoIP and data integration at a later date without the need for major replacement and protecting the customer's investment in the current equipment.
We believe that the excellent call handling features of the solution were, without doubt, key benefits to the customer. The impressive large display digital handsets are also a major strength of the system for users.
